I am interested in learning inline blading and I want to buy a new pair of skates. Which kind of skates will be suitable for beginners to use?
A: It all depends on your intended activity. For recreational purposes, we would recommend getting soft boot skates. For urban/freestyle purposes, it is recommended to get the hard shell skates.
Q: What is the difference between soft boot and hard shell skates?
A: Soft boot skates are similar to wearing a pair of shoes, but on wheels. They can be identified by the more breathable upper.
Hard shell skates on the other hand can be identified with the plastic shell that covers the whole feet, providing you with structural support and protection, which is needed when performing freestyle tricks or urban skating.
Q: What is the difference between 4-wheel configuration and 3-wheel configuration?
A: It all boils down to the size of the wheels, the larger the wheel size, the faster and further you will be able to go. Do take note that due to the larger wheels, your centre of gravity will be higher compared to the 4-wheel configuration.
Q: How often do I have to maintain my skates?
A: It is down to your own personal preferences. But it is recommended to take good care of your skates to ensure that the skates can last you for a very long time. For more information on skate maintenance, please check out our product care page.
